While all the Bollywood movies these days give me #travelgoals, my bank balance says “Beta tumse na ho payega”! However, some of the movies set our travel goals so high ki ‘unko pakadna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hain’. Here are some movies that set the most unrealistic travel goals:

Yes, we youngsters travel a lot these days. From work to home and vice versa! The crazy traffic and insane work schedules are certainly not making our jawaani better! But Bunny a.k.a. the clueless chap manages to host an international travel show and lure the most eligible single girl in the Ayan Mukherjee Universe with nothing but his bad boy charms. My badtameez dil certainly mane na this bulls**t!

2. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara: Khatron ke Khiladi with a tinch of real-life drama

According to the research conducted by some scientists, you need a lot of money to travel internationally in an open head Mercedes Benz. And what about some ace Bollywood directors and the rediscover-yourself-on-a-trip logic! All of us may want to have a bachelor trip just like the ‘three musketeers’, but most of us have to pay bills and apply for leaves you know!

3. Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge: A jobless spoilt brat lures a sanskari girl in Europe

Why can’t I have a wide-open arm-pose Raj waiting for me in the beautiful sarso ke khet of Punjab! Maybe because my bauji will never allow me to go on a one month Europe trip leaving my studies behind! Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge has managed to create a fairy tale in Europe that hardly anyone can get to have!

4. Into the Wild: More like Bear Grylls in Man vs Wild?

However realistic the experiences of Christopher may seem, it is still not possible for normal people to cut off their whole identity and travel into the wilderness. Human beings are social animals and destined to live in the society! After all, ‘Happiness is only real when shared’!

5. Jab We Met: An iconic life journey of a beautiful chatterbox and a poor little rich guy

What will you do if you are frustrated with your job and quit it and are dumped by your partner? A normal Imtiaz Ali character will leave the city and hop a train while leaving everything behind! Because, as per Bollywood’s insane logic, any problem under the sun can be solved by traveling and falling in love! I have been planning to go the northeast since years and haven’t ‘met’ the chance yet (*cries in the corner because meri life mein bohot train chutti hain*).

6. Dil Dhadakne Do: Feminism, fashion, and family did right.

We go to the nearby Shivsagar restaurant for dinner to celebrate my parents’ anniversary, unlike the Mehras who plan an international cruise for a celebration! Discovering love on a short cruise and then jump off the ship to reconcile with her is something only a Bollywood protagonist can do and get away with.

7. Tamasha: Pinnacle of split personalities

Who says you cannot stay in a foreign country without a passport for over 7 days, and make the locals dance on ‘desi’ tunes. And all this, while looking like you have just stepped out of a Vogue Magazine! Surely, Tamasha is one of the most overrated movies in Bollywood, but it surely has portrayed an overrated version of travel!

Hey, but nothing is impossible! We all are going to have that one life-changing vacation! Because Picture abhi baki hain mere dost!
